Review

Aerosoft’s Hawaii Dillingham X 1.0 is a virtual reality scenic add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, simulating Dillingham Airport, Oahu, Hawaii.

The user benefits from this programs easy integration with Flight Simulator X, amongst the many features. Its compatibility with all known mesh add-ons ensures stunning and detailed views of the terrain even at ground level. Land and sea traffic settings allow the user to control the numbers in view, for good fast frames per second. The realistic experience of this scenic simulation is enhanced by all objects being 3D, including humans. The program features a full photographic base for the airport.

A users manual is available in PDF for download from Aerosoft’s website, in English, and the Hawaii Dillingham X 1.0 has a support section there too. The manual includes details of airport specifications for users, for navigation, communications, and runway information purposes. These are necessary for the best flight simulation experience whilst exploring the Hawaiin islands by air. This program also includes weather features, and sound features include sea birds that are also animated, and traffic objects, which are 3D. Many traffic craft objects like parachutes and hang gliders are included, and users can also download objects from the Microsoft Flight Simulator Website.
Advantages
  • Authentic atmospheric sim-tour program
Disadvantages
  • No shadows on ground scenery
